Privacy Compliance
Our services include ensuring compliance with various privacy laws, including, but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) and the EU e-Privacy Directive. One of our lawyers is a Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe (CIPP/E). This certification proves knowledge of (i) European and national data protection laws, (ii) key privacy terminology, and (iii) practical concepts concerning the protection of personal data and trans-border data flows.
We have drafted hundreds of privacy policies, cookie policies, data processing agreements, and other privacy-related documents for clients globally. We regularly conduct privacy audits and privacy impact assessments. In addition, our services include providing guidance on how to develop the processes and tools required for ensuring compliance with the applicable privacy laws.
We have also assisted many companies with obtaining EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework certifications. Those certifications were designed by the Swiss Administration, the European Commission, and the US Department of Commerce to ensure legally compliant transfers of personal data from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States.
