In today’s world, patents have an important role for the protection of information technology assets, such as software, hardware, and the interactions between both. Our services include (i) patent searching, (ii) drafting patent applications, and (iii) support during the patent prosecution phase. 

Patent searches can cover one or more specific jurisdictions. A comprehensive patent search provides inventors with an opportunity to estimate the chance to patent their invention prior to investing substantial amounts of money for drafting and prosecuting patent applications. As a result, inventors can make informed decisions as to whether or not it is worthy to try to patent their inventions.

The process of drafting IT-related patent applications (particularly software patent applications) requires extensive knowledge about the operation, maintenance, and testing of information systems. We have obtained patents and drafted patent applications for clients located all over the world. Most of our work relates to software inventions. 

We also provide support during the patent prosecution phase, e.g., negotiating patent claims with patent examiners and providing advice on the best way to overcome refusals of patent applications.

We are familiar with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and regularly advice clients with regard to PCT applications.
